Is Alaafin of Oyo really a Criminal?
Bull’s Eye, a popular program on
Splash FM 105.5 has been recently banned by NBC (Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation).
This program which is usually held on Monday(s) fail to start on the 9th
of June as radio listeners in the south west region were eagerly expecting.
This ran shock on fans of the host of the program – Edmund Obilo- for he is
loved by many for the passion he has and his durability into political investigation.
At first, a rumour went round that
Edmund Obilo was sacked perhaps leading to the program held off air. But recent
investigations came in when the host invited a member of the house of assembly
of Oyo State for as usual discussion, during the discussion, a noteworthy statement
from the visiting member said in part “That the Alaafin of Oyo, the ruling royal
dynasty in the present state is a criminal and has well engaged in several political
misconduct, theft, undisclosed fraud and host of defrauding activities” While
the statement was confirmed true by this member of the house of assembly of Oyo
state, it was established that the host should be blamed for the “folly”.
While the recording of the discussion
has not yet being disclosed, we hope that we get you more findings about this
matter and never fail to provide it in detail.
What is more, do you really think the
royal dynasty is really in involved in the aforementioned scandals? Did he initiate
the NBC to close the program for a while? If he is not guilty, would he thought
of going to such great length?
Only time will tell before truth will
be established, for lies will always remain only for a moment, but truth will remain
forever. Lovers of truth will never fail to uphold it.
See Splash 105.5 recent statement to the public
“We would like to thank our listeners
for the support concerning the recent rumours that have been circulating.
We would first of all like to assure
you that Edmund Obilo has NOT been sacked.
Due to the sensitivity of the matter
touched on during the last edition of Bull’s Eye, the NBC has decided to
conduct an investigation according to Section 0.2.1 of the Nigerian
broadcasting code;
“Please note that the cardinal role
of broadcasting to inform, educate and entertain shall not be at the expense of
national interest, unity and cohesion. Therefore, no broadcast shall
intentionally encourage or incite to crime, lead to public disorder, be
repugnant to public feeling or contain an offensive reference to any person,
alive or dead, or generally, be disrespectful to human dignity”
Pending the outcome of the ongoing
investigation, the NBC has decided the programme Bulls Eye will be put on hold.
We thank you for your patience while
the NBC conducts investigations and ask for your continued support.”

If Your Boss Shout At You, What Would You Do? Shout Back?
If you
were in that tensed situation, your mind keep telling you, If not for? But think
of it? If not for what? Nobody likes
it when insulted at but your boss is the one doing the business. Were it
someone younger than you, you may deal or show them to learn some politeness.
But this is your boss, who approves and gives insight to work being done,
assessments, promotion tips and anything to make you a useful employee in life.
But will shouting back at your boss even dare come into your mind, or grumble
within you? It is possible to handle such situations better and enjoy lasting
relationship with your boss. Below are life tips that can help you restrain
yourself under pressure.
Be Apologetic
One of the difficult
things humans dislike doing is apologizing. It is felt that when you apologize,
one has lost dignity and respect. But, happy to say, it is the best thing that
can ever happen to you. To say ‘I am Sorry’ will not kill you. It only pampers
the issue at hand. Even though, you are not to be blamed for whatever had
happened, take it that way. That’s life. Perhaps you could now follow the next
tips.
Admit It to Yourself
A one mental-health expert
says: “the best way to deal with any feeling, especially one with which you are
uncomfortable is to admit it to yourself. Avoid denying the feeling or judging
yourself harshly for feeling the way you do.” Talk to your boss about how you
feel. Such conversations can help put emotional reactions in right perspective.
Remember, your thought or feelings should be convened with a soft and mild tone
or rather you will receive another shout.
Discipline
Do not try to justify
yourself as if it cannot happen or minimize the seriousness of the situation,
or shift the blame to others. Just listen to what your boss has to say and let
it rest. Discipline in this context may not necessary mean punishment, but rather
something that becomes part of you. Remember your boss may have had some fact
that you could not have had. Better still, you are not his kid or slave, but
for the sake of discipline, you may allow the matter to rest.
Be Positive
Do not let the outburst of your boss
affect your job. Tendency that it might affect that day’s job is sure, but you
can minimize such tendency and look at life as learning experience. If you are
positive, even after the outburst of your boss on you, it tells who you are,
and other employee may learn this quality of self-control from you.
The next time your boss shouts at you,
you will have already known how you will manage it
.
Please post your comment below on what
you feel about that question.

End Time! Pastor Pays Off His Mistress After Sex Marathon And Sharing Naked Selfies!
Pastor Charles Jenkins has now been accused of using church funds to feed his whore!
Are these Men Of God or Men Of Devil?
A U.S pastor comes under serious attack from his congregation, family and friends after he was accused of allegedly using church funds topay off his mistress of so many years and offering her a juicy job at the church just so she could stay closer and was always 'available' for him.
Pastor Charles Jenkins of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago was busted for cheating on his lovely wife for many years early this week; and putting up naked selfies on the internet while chatting with his secret lover.
The Grammy award winning pastor, of course denies all these allegations and is struggling to get his wife and children to believe in him again. But in an episode of Financial Lovemaking, Dr. Boyce Watkins and S. Tia Brown discussed the good pastor's 'bad' choices and how they might play out emotionally, financially or otherwise.
"This is very bad for his image and calling. Even though it's still all based on allegations, except the nude picture, the Pastor has some self-examining to do. He needs God now more than ever."
Plus are there potential legal liabilities that one might encounter for using organizational resources to cater for their personal activities?
Egnano Readers, what do you advice Pastor Charles to do now? Send us your thoughts below. We will appreciate your comments.

4 Successful Steps to Keep Your Job.
Skilful workers are often highly
valued. What are some skills and qualities that employers appreciate in their
workers? Jude, the director of human resources for a firm that employs 100
people, told EGNANO:
“What we value in an employee is his ability to communicate well and work
harmoniously with others.” Let’s briefly
discuss the four (4) successful steps to be happy on your job.
Communicate
Effectively
Indeed, listening closely to your employer and to your
fellow workers can prevent misunderstandings and keep you from making foolish
mistakes.
When you speak, the way you do so is also
important. If you speak clearly and with sufficient volume, it is more likely
that you will be understood, and this will heighten a listener’s respect for
what you say. Maxwell, an employment consultant, comments: “You would be
surprised how many people lose their jobs, not because of lack of technical
skill, but because they lack the ability to communicate effectively.”
Work
Well With Others
In view of the amount of time you spend with
workmates, you will no doubt get to know them quite well. As a result, you
might be tempted to gossip about them, highlighting their mistakes and
shortcomings. Moreover, you will avoid wasting time and causing needless
friction with your workmates.
If you gain a reputation as a hard worker—one who will
go the extra mile—you will be more likely to keep your job. Of course, there is
a limit to what an employer can rightly ask of you. Some future articles will
provide why that is so.
Be
Honest
One survey of more
than 1,400 firms revealed that the majority of employers “ranked honesty and
integrity as qualities that impress them most in job candidates.” Obviously,
being honest involves not stealing money or materials from your employer. It
also means not stealing time. A study conducted by one employment agency found
that time theft amounted to an average of 4 hours and 15 minutes per employee
each week. Among other things, these time thieves were habitually late, left
work early, and socialized with other employees while at work.
If you have a reputation for working well—even when
not supervised—you are an employee to be trusted.
Be
Realistic
Never in the history of mankind has human had to deal
with distressing conditions than in our time. In fact many are disillusioned
and battling with unemployment and worsening economic conditions. The resulting
political and social instability and upheaval would inevitably result in
economic uncertainty. Hence, even if you apply the above suggestions, you may still lose your job.
Like millions of others around the world, Maxwell,
mentioned earlier, has experienced the wealth of the above-mentioned successful
steps. He sums up his feelings this way: “I enjoy my current job very much. But
I know from experience that things change. I have learned how to lessen my
anxiety when unemployed and how to increase my contentment with the work I
obtain.”

Is It Proper To Stay In With My Sister’s Husband After Divorcing Her?
My
sister’s husband was such a nice man, from a very good home with sound
upbringing. I can hardly forget the day he allowed me to stay in with them
after he managed to secure a job for me at his current work place. Really, he
has done a lot for me, not everyone could do such favour. Life has really been
good since my stay with them until a fatal blow crashed in.
My sister’s
husband caught her wife red handed with another man on his bed. When I heard
it, I was shocked, I couldn't believe my eyes. Questions like what went wrong
between them? Is he not satisfying my sister sexually on bed? Why would she do
such after two (2) years of marriage? I could not stop thinking about what to
do next.
Remember,
he secured a job for me in his workplace. Before long, the story has spread
wide even as far as the work place. My dignity could not stand, I felt ashamed,
not only the embarrassment she brought on me but on our family. What will
people say about me too, a carbon copy or a pretender? My mind went far, with
so many issues calling for attention. Not too long, he planned divorcing her
which he eventually did.
Now my
sister is no longer with him, but I am with him. It’s being a month with him in
the house, and I am not free as I used to. In fact, will I be the one to wash
his clothes, cook food for him, prepare him for work, and assist in the house chores?
I dread thinking about this, but don’t have anywhere else to stay at present.
What will people say? Will they say I want to enter his home as a second wife?
Will they really believe I masterminded the whole thing? What is going on in
his mind? What If he decides to throw me out of the house? Or is he thinking
something I have never thought about?
I am 23
years of age, struggling in the heart of Lagos mainland, battling with the
day-to-day stress of Lagos. My parents advised I leave the man and reside with
them. Surely, we would continue to see at work no matter how hard I try to
prevent him. I have thought of moving
out, but still limping on the opinion. Some of my friends also think that my
sister’s husband may set me up in the workplace in order to revenge or not to
have any contact with him. To say it all, my sister is already with another man
and isn't bordered on the whole mixed up
.
I'm in
this dilemma alone; and I need help from you all and those who may put
themselves in my shoes.
What would
you do if you were in my shoes?

Why Being Rich Not Mean Being Successful.
Many are
the friends of the rich, quite few or less do not wish to be attached to the
poor. The widening gap between the rich and poor cannot be overemphasized. The difference
is great and really deserves insight into the two rivals.
Being rich
give the impression of affluence, wealth, and prestige, while these favours
shower on the rich, one should not fail to realize the opposite.
Learn From The Past
In 1923 a
group of our greatest leaders and richest held a meeting at the Edgewater Beach
hotel in Chicago. Among them were Charles Schwab, head of largest independent steel
company; Richard Whitney, president of the New York Stock Exchange; Arthur
Cotton and Jesse Livermore, two of the biggest stock speculators; and Albert Fall,
a member of President Harding’s Cabinet and a host of others . Twenty years later, 5 (five) of these rich men, Charles Schwab died broke and penniless after living for five years
on borrowed money. Arthur Cotton died broke. Richard Whitney and Albert Fall
were just released from prison. Jesse Livermore committed suicide.
If you
traced the end of these men, you would remember the Great Depression and the
market crash in 1929 which must have had a great impact on these men.
Facing Reality
Most
people fail to realize that in life, it’s not how much money you make, it’s how
much money you keep. We have all heard stories of lottery winners who became poor,
then suddenly rich, then poor again. They win millions and are soon back to the
grass.
I well
know so many people who are becoming instant millionaires. It’s the Roaring '20s
one more time. While it good news to hear people getting richer and richer, but
in the long run, it’s not how much you keep, and how many generations you keep
it. But it is YOU.
The Truth
Money is
not real, in fact it’s a visitor that comes into your home and must leave. So
have a balanced view of your riches, be flexible and keep an open mind and learn.
Also, realize money cannot solve all problems, if you ever thought so, you are
being misled.
Think not
money but your brain power to create more investment and valuable treasures.

Don’t Wait Until You Are Laid Off Before Thinking Business Opportunities.
We live in
a world of uncertainties, in fact, who knows what may be the end of anyone
tomorrow? So only living for today will not wreck us now but devastate one’s
future.
Why it is good to plan now!
There is
something inside of us restricting our inner desire to be independent. It is
not too long before this subtle enemy overtakes us. You may wonder, is this is
really an enemy? Before answering this question, let consider some vital facts:
Suddenly Unemployed
When I
lost my job, I felt as if someone had thrown a bucket of cold water over me. My
self esteem suffered terribly. – Tony, Germany
I felt
devastated; I never believed this was really happening. I was as good as being
wiped off and never being born. – Owolabi, Nigeria
WORLDWIDE, millions
are enduring the same plight as Tony, and Owolabi. About the turn of this century,
it was estimated that 40 percent of the workforce in Europe and Central
Asia—some 100 million people—were looking for work. In some less-developed
lands, more than a quarter of the labor force is without paid employment. In
the United States, “nearly 3.6 million jobs have disappeared over all
during the last 28 months,” declared The New York Times in July 2013.
In many lands the
search for employment presents serious obstacles. For example, each year a
tidal wave of high-school and college graduates floods the job market. In
addition, having a degree or specialized training is no guarantee that one will
find work in a chosen profession. Thus, it is now quite common for people to
change jobs several times during their working life. Some even have to change
careers entirely.
Meagre
Wages
People keep checking
from one work to another hoping to find their “comfort zones”. But most times
these ‘comfort zones’ turn to become ‘problem zones’. Why? There is no end to
wants, and inner desire to want never end. So the more rise on your wage, the
more money you will give out. Factors such as Governmental Tax, other necessary
tax will increase opposed to your high minded imagination. So it is often
impractical or compounding looking for easy way out in search for “better” but
stressed jobs.
So If you find
yourself unemployed, what can you do to improve your chances of finding work? Is
there another way out? Would you continue to work under someone for life? Is
there somewhere as business opportunities? Can you think of something you can
start before sudden unemployment sets in?
How wise it would be
to take long term steps now in order to avoid distressing days that may lie
ahead. Why not think carefully about what the future hold for you now? Take
your time and review if what is said below isn't true.
There are Three (3)
people in life with gaps in their thinking. See where you may belong and begin
a serious self examination.
1.
Something
is not coming, so I have to wait, they lament. They just wait for the “right”
opportunity.
2.
I
have seen people get the “right” opportunity and then not have enough money.
3.
They
have the money, the time is right, but they can’t see the opportunity staring
at them.
Where Do You Belong? It’s Worth
Knowing!

JAMB May Not Likely Increase Cost of Exam Fees.
Lagos – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) said on Saturday that it had no immediate plans to increase the cost of registration forms for its Computer-Based Tests.
The Public Relations Officer of JAMB, Mr Fabian Benjamin, who made the statement in an interview in Lagos, said that the board intended to work within its available resources for subsequent CBTs. “If there is the need to increase, parents would be informed on why there is an increase,” he said.
Benjamin spoke against the backdrop of reported plans by the board to increase the cost of the forms.
He said that this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination was capital intensive because of the Paper-Pencil and Computer-Based Test that were held this year. “The examination this year was capital intensive but subsequently it will not be so. “The reason was that two types of examinations were held this year without any increase in budgetary allocation for exams.
“Subsequently, the cost of printing of papers for 23 subjects of 15 pages for about two million people will no longer be there.” According to him, the Federal Government had assisted in reducing the financial burden of the exam on parents and guardians by directing JAMB to reduce the cost of forms from N4, 600 to N4, 000. “The objective of the CBT is to make our education system more effective, to give the candidates the right orientation about examination, which should transcend to the university level. “Its objective is also to curb examination malpractices,” he said. Losing Weight Too Fast May Lead To Muscle Loss.
Study volunteers eating 500 calories a day lost
more muscle than those eating more than twice as much.
If you lose
weight too
fast, you lose more muscle than when you shed excess pounds more slowly, a
small study says.
The researchers put 25 participants on a five-week
very-low-calorie diet of just 500 calories per day. Another 22 volunteers went
on a 12-week low-calorie diet of 1,250 calories per day.
The investigators found that right after the end of their
diets, both groups had similar levels of weight loss. The average weight loss was a
little over 19 pounds among those on the very-low-calorie diet and just under
19 pounds among those on the low-calorie diet.
The researchers then looked at the loss of fat-free mass,
which includes all the tissue in the human body, except fat. The major tissues
are blood, bones, organs and muscles. However,
the mass of the organs, blood and bones does not change during dieting. Therefore, changes in fat-free mass
during dieting are mainly due to changes in muscle mass.
Participants on the very-low-calorie diet had lost about
3.5 pounds of fat-free mass, compared with 1.3 pounds among those on the
low-calorie diet. Fat-free mass accounted for 18 percent of weight loss in the
very-low-calorie diet group and 7.7 percent of weight loss in the low-calorie
diet group, the study found.
Four weeks after the end of their diets, reductions in
fat-free mass averaged 1.8 pounds among those in the very-low-calorie diet
group and 0.7 pounds among those in the low-calorie diet group. Fat-free mass
accounted for 9.4 percent of weight loss in the very-low-calorie diet group and
2.9 percent of weight loss in the low-calorie diet group, according to the
report.
"Loss of fat-free mass was higher after rapid than
slow diet-induced weight loss with similar total weight loss," said the
study's authors, Roel Vink and Marleen van Baak, of the School for Nutrition,
Toxicology and Metabolism at Maastricht University in the
Netherlands, and colleagues.
However, the authors also pointed out in a meeting news
release that muscle loss among people in the very-low-calorie diet was likely
overestimated immediately after they completed the diet, compared with four
weeks later.
This is likely because they had a larger loss of water
and glycogen (a natural form of sugar in the body) when they had just completed
the diet than four weeks later, the researchers explained.
Research presented at meetings should be viewed as
preliminary until it is published in a peer-reviewed medical journal.
