Beautiful Singer Simone Battle commits suicide after battling depression

Beautiful singer Simone Battle best known as a member of girl group G.R.L has passed away. The 25 year old former X Factor contestant committed suicide in her home on Friday September 5th. Police say she was found hanging in a closet in her bedroom around 8:30am.

A family friend revealed Simone had been quietly battling depression for a while.

Simone came to prominence as a contestant on US X-Factor in 2011. She was a finalist on the show, making it to the top 17 before being eliminated by her mentor on the show, Simon Cowell. She joined G.R.L in 2012 and just recently, their single 'Ugly Heart' went platinum in Australia. Sad she didn't find reasons to continue living.

Tiwa Savage, Davido, Flavour, Burna Boy win big at MAMAs 2014.

Nigerian talents, Davido, Clarence Peters, Flavour and Tiwa Savage have brought home a total of six awards at the just concluded MTV Africa Music Awards which held last night, Saturday, 7 June 2014. 

Durban’s International Conference Centre resounded to electrifying live performances by Fally Ipupa, Don Jazzy, D’Banj, Burna Boy, Sauti Sol, Ice Prince, Sarkodie, Dr Sid, French Montana, Miguel, Trey Songz, Davido, Mafikizolo, Oskido, Tiwa Savage, Flavour, Phyno and Yuri da Cunha.

Davido, Mafikozolo, Uhuru and Clarence Peters were the big winners of the evening at the awards. Quadruple nominees Mafikizolo triumphed in the Best Group and Song of The Year categories, while Davido took home two awards, for Best Male and Artist of the Year.

Who the heck in the world would believe Roberts kelly's daughter wanting to be a Man as in Man. Could this move wreck his father's image or accelerate his popularity the more.?

One of  R. Kelly's daughters, Jaya Kelly is planning on becoming a man or male as she now identifies  herself as "transguy".

The 14 year old who now go by the name "Jay" always appears dressed up in male outfits and acts like a boy.

Reports say her mother, Andrea has accepted her daughter's new lifestyle but its still unclear what R. Kelly's reaction is on this matter since it’s believed he’s not so much involved in Jaya's life.

A transguy is someone who was born as a female but wants to transition into becoming a male.

Eh Yah! Chris Brown has been released from jail.

TMZ is reporting that Chris Brown has been released from jail after being locked up for 59 days. He was reportedly released around midnight yesterday. Chris was sentenced to a year in jail on May 9th but got credit for the 116 days he spent in Rehab. He still has his D.C case to answer.

Darey Art Alade’s Music Video ‘Special Fever’ With Rita Dominic Goes Wild.

R&B singer, Darey Art Alade recently released the video of his newest international single, ‘Special Fever.’ The video, shot at a beach in Lagos, featured Nollywood star actress, Rita Dominic. 

The love song has now become a toast of music lovers in Nigeria as the tune is now being highly requested by radio show callers.

‘Special Fever’, which was released last year, is a unique R&B/Highlife music that describes the art of love. The single, produced by internationally acclaimed producer, Harmony, shows Darey pouring out his heart to a young woman who gives him a special kind of fever.

The video also boasts of exciting cameos from some of the industry’s finest like JJC, DJ Sose, Muna, Mo Eazy, Zaina, amongst others.

Solange Knowles Shares Throwback Picture With Beyonce After Jay Z Fight

They're sisters for life. After deleting dozens of photos from her Instagram following her fight with Jay Z, Solange Knowles marked Throwback Thursday on May 15 by posting a childhood picture of herself with her big sister Beyonce.

The cute shot shows young Beyonce and Solange wearing matching plaid dresses while seated with their heads resting against their hands. The Texas natives give the camera a fierce stare-down in the throwback snapshot, which the younger sibling captioned, "#tt."

Solange's latest Instagram movement comes just four days after the singer's fight video with Jay Z made waves across the Internet. In the days following the video's release, Solange promptly deleted multiple pictures of her sister from Instagram, which prompted speculation that there was a falling out between the two.

Beyonce, though, did the opposite and uploaded multiple pictures to her Instagram on Wednesday, of the two siblings enjoying happier days. Like Solange, Bey kept her update simple with the caption, "Good morning."

As reported Thursday, the Standard Hotel employee who leaked the surveillance footage to TMZ was fired. A source told Us Weekly that Beyonce "does not approve of violence," and the trio is "trying to put the situation past them now."

Justin Bieber Caught In Phone Robbery Attempt.

Justin Bieber is being investigated by the LAPD for allegedly committing an armed robbery. 

The armed robbery claims were made by a woman who apparently spotted Justin and his crew getting into an altercation with some guys. 

TMZ reports that Justin noticed that the woman was going for her cellphone to take pictures. 

Bieber allegedly demanded to see her phone so he could erase pictures. When she refused Bieber reportedly went into her purse and grabbed it. 

She apparently wrestled with Justin while trying to get her phone back. Justin gave it back!

Rihanna, Drake Split: Just After Brief Reunion.

They may have found love in a hopeless place, but now it's over. After a few short months together, Rihanna and Drake are once again on the outs, a source confirms to Us Weekly. 

"Rihanna and Drake had another fight," a source tells Us. "He is too in love with her, which has always been the problem. They have been fighting, but that could all change any day now. It is how it always is with them."

After a tumultuous dating history, the "Diamonds" singer and the "Hold On, We're Going Home" crooner were first spotted back together in Paris in February. 

RiRi attended Drake's concert in France where the two were spotted dancing and talking all night, and by March they were seen holding hands after a London club outing. 

But when Rihanna threw a post-Met Gala bash, Drake was nowhere to be found. Another source confirms they are "currently on yet another break."

Back in June 2012, Drake, Rihanna's ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, and their respective entourages got into a brutal fight at WIP nightclub in downtown Manhattan. Rihanna "loves this!" a source told Us at the time. "Men fighting over her? Are you kidding? Of course. [She] loves the drama."

Omobaba Shoots Video For ‘There Is God O’ in Lagos Today.

Few days ago, popular Nigerian comedian, Omobaba released a single entitled 'There Is God O', a mimic of Patience Jonathan’s phrase on the abducted schoolgirls of a Chibok, Borno secondary school.

In the song, the comedian featured the voice of the First Lady’s viral phrase, ‘There is God o’, which she uttered during a session with some women some days ago. 

Nigeriafilms.com has reliably gathered that Omobaba is shooting the music video today, Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in a location in Lagos. The song, since its release last week, has gone viral and it is now being transferred on mobile devices.

Kid Artiste, Ozzy Bosco To Get Into Guiness Book of Records

Mother of young African entertainer, Oziomachukwu Favour Mojekwu, popularly known as Ozzy Bosco Wonderkid, Chief Elizabeth Nonye Mojekwu, in a recent interview, said her son, while growing up, could dance to the sound of an airplane.

According to Mojekwu, she noticed the talent in her son at three months, but did not ascertain its magnitude.

She added that they noticed that there was something special about him when it comes to dancing and singing. “Then, when an aeroplane passes, while in the sitting room relaxing, he (Ozzy Bosco) would start dancing to the sound of the airplane. If you dropped something on the floor, he would begin to follow the sound pattern of the object. We noticed the ‘swag.’”

Ozzy Bosco has featured the likes of Terry G, Lambogini, Olamide, Flavour Nabania, M.I, Tee Mac and Midnight Crew.

The wonderkid has won 16 awards so far, and recently, he was given a chieftancy title called ‘Omenawata Igbo.’

Ozzy Bosco, at seven, has done 128 properly recorded awesome stage performances; and this does not include all the minor entertainment events he has done for friends and schoolmates on their birthdays. As a result of this, the kid singer is on the verge of putting his name in the Guinness Book of World Records as a child who is a part-time entertainer, and has done 12 performances in two years and four months.

James Oluwajuwonlo Edahi, popularly known as Jaywon, broke into the music industry with a hit track 'File Be'. He grew up in Kogi and Kwara States. In 2009, he grabbed the Nigeria Music Video Awards for the Best New Video.

Frankie Delgado Welcomes Baby Girl With Wife Jennifer Acosta.

Frankie Delgado is officially a dad! The former The Hills star welcomed a baby girl in to the world with wife Jennifer Acosta on May 4.

The 32-year-old Instagrammed an adorable photo of his little girl's foot, along with the caption: "I never knew how much I could love til I met you, the greatest gift of my life."

Us Weekly exclusively confirmed the MTV alum and his wife were first expecting back in February. Delgado's lady love first debuted her bump at friend Lauren Conrad's 28th birthday party in Los Angeles on Feb. 7.

Delgado and Acosta got engaged on Valentine's Day in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in 2012. The couple tied the knot at Rancho Las Lomas near Dana Point, Calif., in June 2013.

Chris Brown Celebrates Birthday In Jail!

Today (May 5) is Chris Brown’s 25th birthday! Sadly, Breezy is still serving time in prison and will not be popping bottles with his friends and loved ones. 

One person who’s celebrating with Breezy though, is his on/off girlfriend Karrueche Tran who posted a birthday message to him on Instagram. 

The message was captioned: “Happy Birthday Chrisptopher I love and miss you.. Can’t to give you a big kiss and hug.” So sweet!

Nike Oshinowo Shows Off Her Cute Twins.!!!

48 years old former beauty queen, Nike Oshinowo welcomed her twins (a boy and a girl) via a gestational surrogate in the United States in 2013. Later in the year, she returned to Nigeria, but her babies were not seen with her.

The twins are Nike’s biological children but another woman actually carried them in her womb and gave birth to them. Since she welcomed the children, Nike has kept their identity close to her chest and away from the public glare. 

However, she has now revealed their identities as she made the cover of HELLO! (Nigeria) Magazine. Nike also shared her experience to the magazine on the issue as she said, 'It can happen to anyone, I’m not special. I’m very close to my creator, and to be close to your creator, you don’t have to go to church or to any special pastor, you just form a one on one relationship with your God.

'I was out of my marriage, and I was lying in bed, talking to my God “Okay, so, here I am, is this what you want for me? Please tell me the next step. What am I supposed to do now?” and I fell asleep. As I slept, I felt a tug on the bedding and I open my eyes… I’m saying you have a choice to choose. I chose to have my children look like the rest of my family. I chose to have my children look like my cousins, the children of my sister, the children of my brother – all the same colour. I did what I needed to do to make that happen. My children bear Oshinowo. It’s a very good surname to have.'
