In what appears to be an open criticism by famous actress Whoopi Goldberg against Billionaire icon Donald trump, a lot has really been going through everyone's mind including EGNANO READERS, if Donald Trump is really himself.
Donald Trump gets schooled! Whoopi Goldberg slammed the business mogul on The View Monday, Aug. 4, after he made what she called "dopey" and "idiotic" comments about those infected by the Ebola virus.
Two American missionaries—Dr. Kent Brantly and health care employee Nancy Writebol—contracted the potentially fatal infection after treating patients overseas in Liberia. They were promptly brought back to the U.S. where they are currently being treated in isolation under the eye of the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia.
Trump, disgruntled that the Americans were even admitted back to the United States, took to his Twitter to lash out. "The U.S. cannot allow EBOLA infected people back," Trump tweeted on Aug. 1. "People that go to far away places to help out are great-but must suffer the consequences!"
The topic was brought up again the following day by Trump, only this time he beseeched the U.S. government to hear his plea. "The U.S. must immediately stop all flights from EBOLA infected countries or the plague will start and spread inside our 'borders.' Act fast!" he wrote. "The fact that we are taking the Ebola patients, while others from the area are fleeing to the United States, is absolutely CRAZY-Stupid pols."
Goldberg, noting that while she understood her pal Trump's perspective, schooled viewers on the actual ways the Ebola virus is spread. "I'm not defending him, but he is also a friend of mine, so I don't want to be disrespectful to him," Goldberg said. "But that was a stupid comment."
She explained that the virus "doesn't' carry in the wind" and is only spread through the mixing of bodily fluids. "Do your homework, Donald," she said. "Just do your homework.”
Trump continued his rant this week. "The bigger problem with Ebola is all of the people coming into the U.S. from West Africa who may be infected with the disease. STOP FLIGHTS!" he tweeted.
