Ebola Virus Scare in OAU Campus After a Female Student Complained Of High Fever!
The Obafemi Awolowo University campus is currently in a state of panic as the university's health centre has a suspected #Ebola patient in it's care.
The female student was said to have walked into the emergency room and told the doctor on duty that she had been in contact with the late Doctor's family that died in Port Harcourt about 2 weeks ago, she said that she had been in contact with the doctor's 3 month old baby.
She presented with stooling and vomiting which had been on for over 3 days now. Immediately there was a panic among the patients who all ran away on hearing the news. She was immediately taken and kept in the isolation ward, the community health unit has been fumigating the entire health centre for some hours now, arrangements have been made for her to moved to a treatment facility.
According to #Punch, more concentration was paid on areas where patients sit before being attended to.
It was also gathered that top officials of the hospital held an emergency meeting after testing the patient.
Though, medical officials in the hospital denied that the suspected student tested positive to EVD, they said the Federal Government Emergency Ebola Team has been contacted and an intensive examination by the EVD team from Lagos has been slated for Wednesday
“A patient was brought to the health centre and due to the fact that she lives in Port Harcourt, there were fears that it might be Ebola. We have carried out tests on the victim and found that she is suffering from fever. Not satisfied, we pressed further by holding an emergency meeting which ended about five minutes ago," an official said.
When asked why the hospital was disinfecting its surroundings, another official said, “We are only taking preventive measures. To be 100 per cent satisfied, we have sent a letter to the Ebola Emergency Team in Lagos and the team should arrive by tomorrow.”
At present, the female student is in the school premises undergoing several diagnosis.

Beautiful Singer Simone Battle commits suicide after battling depression
Beautiful singer Simone Battle best known as a member of girl group G.R.L has passed away. The 25 year old former X Factor contestant committed suicide in her home on Friday September 5th. Police say she was found hanging in a closet in her bedroom around 8:30am.
A family friend revealed Simone had been quietly battling depression for a while.
Simone came to prominence as a contestant on US X-Factor in 2011. She was a finalist on the show, making it to the top 17 before being eliminated by her mentor on the show, Simon Cowell. She joined G.R.L in 2012 and just recently, their single 'Ugly Heart' went platinum in Australia. Sad she didn't find reasons to continue living.

Vice Chairman Of Sun Newspapers Is Dead.
Mr. Dimgba Igwe reportedly died this morning around 10am after being knocked down by a car
The Vice Chairman of The Sun Publishing Limited, Mr. Dimgba Igwe has died.
He was reportedly hit by a car today, September 6, 2014 while jogging around his home in the Okota area of Lagos.
The Sun reports that Mr. Igwe passed on around 10 am at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) of injuries suffered after a hit-and-run driver knocked him down.
A statement from the media house quoted the Chairman of the Sun Publishing Limited Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu as saying that the development was “tragic shocking and dark day in the annals of journalism in Nigeria. Dimgba Igwe was too much of gentleman, fine brain and mind to die tragically like this.”
He would always be remembered for his good works.
What a painful Loss.
